Seesaw has become a great way for me as a principal to connect with parents to help support their children on days when the morning may not start out positively at home. I have had parents message for me to check on their child and I can easily reply with a picture of their child after they have settled into the day. My goal this year is to share more pictures of myself and students with families so they feel like they can reach out to me more easily.
Families are looking for a way to have two-way communication. They want to be able to feel like they’re a part of things and that’s one of the things I love about the messaging system in Seesaw. I’m able to message parents back and forth and it’s broken down some of those walls. It is hard sometimes to get a phone call in or check-in emails, but being able to message real quick back and forth really helps with that.
Seesaw can be a great tool to share student progress and learning with families.
