Each day, my students start their day the same way. They grab their Chromebooks and headsets, then go to their desk for a short fluency check. Each student reads a passage that is assigned to them based on their independent reading level. Not only is this great reading practice, but it centers them on school for the day and is a great classroom management tool. At the end of the week, each student answers a few short questions on the passage they read before submitting their work.
My student was able to use Seesaw to read the text at his level presented in a more engaging format.
