Reading Fluency Assessment - Now Upgraded!
Reading Fluency Assessment digitizes the traditional running record by allowing students to record themselves reading aloud while Seesaw automatically transcribes, scores, and reports on their performance. With Seesaw automating scoring and reporting, teachers can assess reading more frequently and respond to student needs sooner.
Teachers can now convert existing passages and questions from PDF files, images, or Google files into auto graded fluency & comprehension assessments. Teachers can also generate Lexile-leveled fiction or nonfiction passages and include target vocabulary.
Seesaw has students record themselves reading and then automates a running record by transcribing, scoring, and reporting students’ decoding. This saves teachers hours of 1:1 assessment time and enables more frequent formative assessment in students’ most formative reading years.
Further, the Fluency tool now allows teachers to set time limits on fluency checks, and leave unread words and sentences out of the fluency auto-grading, making scoring and reporting more accurate across more students.
