Since testing has become an essential part of learning in our public schools, I find Seesaw inspiring and motivating for students. They leave the answer choices aside and focus on what mostly matters: a passion for learning. I have followed Seesaw from its beginnings and firmly believe in the platform. It allows students to share their learning in genuine and creative ways. I love everything about Seesaw and my students have loved and enjoyed it too!
Seven years ago I was a second grade teacher implementing a 1:1 iPad initiative in my classroom. I remember my student “Blanca” who had written a poem about life and how she enjoyed nature. I remember perfectly when her father sent a message (during the day) to his daughter through Seesaw commenting on her poem. He said to her “You are the box of crayons in my life that gives color to everything”. Blanca looked at me with her eyes wide open at that moment after listening to her dad’s message and cried tears of joy. This moment was just so touching and it would not have been possible without the tools that Seesaw has to offer. This is just one-way Seesaw has made an impact on my students’ learning.
It allows students to share their learning in genuine and creative ways.
