My math classroom instruction has become more hands-on and engaging with the use of Seesaw Activities for lessons this year. Students have the ability to create and share what they are learning during the lesson. Whether we complete tasks on Seesaw slides in groups, independently, or with partners, we take time to come together to share our thinking about how we answered the math word problem and critique the reasoning of others. Students are able to project their Seesaw screens onto our Apple TV and use the Seesaw tools to show a strategy they used to complete the math task. As a class, we are able to have meaningful discussions and make corrections on individual slides. As the teacher, I can adjust group tasks and have slides prepared ahead of time to allow students to move at their own pace. AND when the green checkmark is tapped, families have an instant window into our learning and discussions that day. Seesaw is the ONE tech tool I choose to use daily, and my students LOVE what they can create, integrate, and share with authentic audiences.
