Matt Given

Chief Executive Officer

Matt Given is an experienced education technology executive and CEO of Seesaw, the only Learning Experience Platform developed specifically for PreK-5 students. With over two decades in professional education and technology roles, Given started his career as a teacher where his passion for education quickly propelled him into management and senior leadership roles.

Prior to his career at Seesaw, Given held the role of CEO at CeriFi, where he led the company’s portfolio of training and certification companies, collectively serving financial planning, insurance and securities professionals and organizations. Given also spent the decade prior in various C-level positions within education technology businesses, including Gylnlyon, Catapult Learning, EdisonLearning and Kaplan.

Given has been recognized for his educational policy expertise, including his successful influence on legislation in multiple states and testifying on the authorization of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) in front of a full committee hearing at the U.S. House of Representatives, Education and the Workforce Committee. He has frequent press and public speaking engagements and has lectured on educational policy at Tufts University.

Given graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in psychology.

Chief Product Officer

Starting her career as an educator, Sara has a deep passion for creating equitable, inclusive, and high quality instructional experiences. After her time as a teacher and school leader, she transitioned into edtech, working in curriculum and product strategy. She has spent the past decade building products that empower teachers, engage students, and improve school outcomes. At Seesaw, Sara is the Chief Product Officer, where she oversees product, curriculum, user experience, and product marketing.”

Cody

Cody Powell

Chief Technology Officer

Cody Powell is Seesaw’s Chief Technology Officer, responsible for technology, data, and security across Seesaw’s product, platform, and business systems. Cody brings 20 years of engineering leadership and a passion for leveraging technology to enhance educational outcomes. Prior to joining Seesaw, Cody held leadership positions at Snap, Inc. and Amazon, where he spearheaded major initiatives in cloud computing, architectural improvements, and international expansion. He studied Computer Science and Economics at Trinity University and the University of Texas.

Meg Miller

Meg Miller

Chief Financial Officer

Meg Miller has held various financial leadership roles throughout her career and currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Seesaw Learning, a position she started in May 2022. Prior to this, she was the Chief Financial Officer at Envoy Global, where she oversaw all financial functions and executed a change of control sale to a financial sponsor. Before joining Envoy Global, she worked as the Vice President, Finance at Natera, leading the finance team through multiple funding rounds and an IPO. Prior to this, Meg served as a Private Equity Associate at Madison Dearborn Partners and started her professional journey as an Investment Banking Analyst at Morgan Stanley. She earned an AB degree in Biology from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Barry Swihart, EVP of Sales

Barry’s career in education began nearly 25 years ago. Being one of the first 10 employees at OdysseyWare, he rose in the ranks to become their SVP of Sales, establishing an industry-leading NPS score, and assisting the business through two acquisitions. After 17 years at OdysseyWare, he joined BASE, a social emotional learning platform, as SVP of Sales. Here he built a go-to-market team responding to the increasing mental health concerns of school-age youth following COVID. After two years, BASE was acquired. Shortly thereafter, Barry joined Seesaw in July of ’23 as our VP of Sales. Barry excels in building culture-rich environments that empower team members with a partner-first mindset.

Kat Brown

EVP, Customer Experience

Kat Brown is a former high school English teacher who found her calling in the world of Education Technology. Brown has led large scale solution implementations in school districts across the country for CompassLearning, Kaplan K12 Learning Services, and Achieve3000. After nine years at Achieve3000, Brown became the VP of Customer Success at Odyesseyware. In 2020, during a transformative time in the industry, Brown joined DreamBox Learning. She went on to become the VP of Success and Services and interim Chief Customer Officer before leaving DreamBox to join Seesaw as their Executive Vice President of Customer Experience in August 2023.

Tyler Gerhart Wood began her career as a school director and quickly saw the impact technology had on her students’ behavior, engagement, and learning. She went on to spend 9 years at Apple, where she credits her expertise in creating effective marketing programs. She enjoys building, leading, and empowering teams to develop creative and inventive ideas that resonate with educators. She has worked in the EdTech industry for thirty years, holding leadership positions at Cogent Education, Odysseyware, and eDynamic Learning. She has a proven track record of helping companies build brand loyalty, awareness, and exponential sales growth.

Monique London, EVP of People

Monique London

EVP, People

Monique London is the EVP of People at Seesaw, leading global HR strategy, operations, and organizational development. With a background in total rewards, workforce planning, and change management, she brings over two decades of experience in fostering inclusive and high-performing workplaces. Before joining Seesaw, Monique held leadership roles across various industries, specializing in HR transformation, compensation strategy, and employee engagement. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management from the University of Georgia and is SPHR and SHRM-SCP certified. Monique lives in Houston with her husband, son, and two dogs.
